Sonoraville faced LaFayette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Phoenix skirted past the Ramblers 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Phoenix sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lila Mullinax spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
