Baseball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Southeast Bulloch's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Southeast Bulloch unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Long County Blue Tide. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Tide earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Southeast Bulloch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Grams, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Grams hit this season.

Southeast Bulloch's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Long County, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southeast Bulloch will square off against rival Islands at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Long County is set to take on their familiar foe Calvary Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Tide 2.4, the Cavaliers 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
