Elgin entered their tilt with Western Heights on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Jets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-1 on Tuesday.

Kylee Garrett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Keylee Ranabargar was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ella Melton, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI.

Elgin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Elgin's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Western Heights, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Southmoore on the 28th. Western Heights has also already played their next game (against MacArthur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
