Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Beach vs. University

The Laguna Beach Breakers will face off against the University Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Laguna Beach earned a 3-1 win over Woodbridge.

Laguna Beach hit Woodbridge with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sanae Mitsuka, Taylor Smith, and Gwen Haiman.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University). They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Northwood on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

University's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-9-1. As for Laguna Beach, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-1.

Laguna Beach took their victory against University when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 4-0. Will Laguna Beach repeat their success, or does University have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
