Corydon Central is a perfect 7-0 against Austin since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Corydon Central's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Austin has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Corydon Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Scottsburg on Wednesday. The Panthers never let the Warriors and Warriorettes get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory.

Reese Withers was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Corydon Central got a massive performance out of Laken Seacat, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Seacat a new career-high. Delaney Savely was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Corydon Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Austin lost 15-7 to Clarksville on Tuesday.
Teagan Cutshall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
Austin's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Corydon Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Everything went Corydon Central's way against Austin in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Corydon Central made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
