Basketball Recap: Jenkintown Takes a Loss

Jenkintown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 38-26 to the Renaissance Academy Knights. The Drakes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Renaissance Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dallis Stewart, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stewart has scored at least a third of Renaissance Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Jenkintown's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Renaissance Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jenkintown has already played their next match (against Upper Bucks Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Renaissance Academy will venture away from home to take on Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
