Football Recap: Hill County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Connor Knight and Tristan Knight

Hill County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 68-51 fall against the Kopperl Eagles. The Wolves gained 120 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Hill County had strong showings from Tristan Knight, who rushed for 283 yards and three scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and Connor Knight, who threw for 114 yards and three TDs. Tristan also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing two fumbles and making five total tackles.

Hill County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kopperl, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hill County will venture away from home to take on Westlake Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 917 yards in their previous games. As for Kopperl, they will head out on the road to square off against Three Way at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Kopperl will need to watch out since Three Way has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
