Soccer Game Preview: North Hall vs. Monroe Area

The North Hall Trojans will head out to square off against the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Thursday, North Hall came up short against Union County and fell 3-1. North Hall have struggled against Union County recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

North Hall's goal came courtesy of BRYAN FLORES, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, Monroe Area was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Walnut Grove, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Monroe Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Walnut Grove are ranked 54th).

Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for North Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything went North Hall's way against Monroe Area when the teams last played back in March of 2016, as North Hall made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
