Soccer Recap: Bleckley County Takes a Loss

Bleckley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Laurens Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bleckley County of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

They hit East Laurens with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Riley Lawson (2), Greyson Arnold, and Wade Phagan.

Bleckley County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for East Laurens, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bleckley County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northside at 7:00 p.m. on April 15. As for East Laurens, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Academy for Classical Education at 7:00 p.m.
