Calhoun's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Sonoraville Phoenix. Alex Delgado was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Calhoun used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Sonoraville. Aiden Delgado played for 60 minutes having averaged 40 this season and David Vera got 60 vs. an average of 31.7. The new lineup might be seeing more playing time going forward considering the group combined for a total of two goals and two assist.

Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five contests. As for Sonoraville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun will take on Rome at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rome will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Calhoun surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sonoraville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Cobb Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.
