Gunn High athlete touts a unique resume when it comes to sport selection.

Start with all the high school athletes in America. Now narrow it down to those who are on the soccer and wrestling teams. Next, narrow it down to the athletes who do soccer and wrestling in the same season.

Go one step more, and winnow the list to females who do wrestling and soccer in the same season.

We haven't heard of anyone else besides Cadence Lee of Gunn (Palo Alto, Calif.). The sophomore has experienced success on the mat, placing seventh in the state in last season's inaugural girls championships, and is making contributions on the pitch for a team that entered Friday with a 4-3-1 record.

"Yes, unfortunately I will have to miss all the soccer games that occur directly before a wrestling event," Lee said in the story posted by Palo Alto Online Sports. "The running and conditioning in a soccer game is good for keeping my weight down, but I believe that it definitely tires out my leg muscles more than is preferred."
