Baseball Recap: Shaw Raiders vs. Crawford County Eagles
The third road contest was the charm for Shaw, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They skirted past the Crawford County Eagles 4-3.
Jeremiah Lovett was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025. Khonnor Dorminey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Shaw has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Looking ahead, Shaw will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Spencer at 5:30 p.m. As for Crawford County, they will head out to take on Mount de Sales Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
