Softball Game Preview: Temple Tigers vs. Chapel Hill Panthers

Friday just wasn't the day for Temple's offense. They lost 8-0 to Rockmart on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Cass, falling 11-3.

Mariah Walker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Nyla Henson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Temple, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Temple's way against Chapel Hill in their previous matchup on Thursday, as Temple made off with a 14-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
