Recap: Riverview Raiders vs. Deer Lakes Lancers
The Riverview Raiders entered their tilt with the Deer Lakes Lancers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Riverview simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Deer Lakes 64-32 at home. The result was nothing new for Riverview, who have now won six contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Lola Abraham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Juliette Brun, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Riverview pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Deer Lakes, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Riverview will head out on the road to face off against Leechburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leechburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Riverview is ranked 235th). As for Deer Lakes, they will be playing at home against Ligonier Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
