Baseball Recap: Dunbar Falls Short Against Ranked Eastern

Dunbar faced Eastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Crimson Tide fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ramblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Dunbar has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record this season. As for Eastern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 defeat against Jackson-Reed on the 6th.
