Troy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They walked away with a 46-34 win over the Wellsboro Hornets. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Hornets are ranked 509th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giana Renzi, who posted 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Renzi a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Kailyn Sterling, who put up nine points along with five boards and three steals.

Troy pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Wellsboro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Troy will be playing at home against Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Troy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wellsboro, they have already played their next contest, a 46-17 victory against Sayre on the 12th.
