Softball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Comes Up Short

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe lost a heartbreaker to Ringgold when they met back in October of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Warriors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe has also been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Ringgold, they moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ringgold, they will square off against Northwest Whitfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
