It's playoff time, and New Covenant Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They pulled ahead with a 48-47 photo finish over the Lancaster County Christian Lions on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flames.

New Covenant Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miracle Hershey, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten steals. Hershey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Qynne Demler was another key player, putting up 19 points.

New Covenant Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Lancaster County Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alicia Fisher, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Faith Urenovitch, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

New Covenant Christian's record is now 18-3. As for Lancaster County Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

New Covenant Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-27 defeat against Linville Hill on the 27th. As for Lancaster County Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-32 loss against Greenwood on the 27th.
