Soccer Game Preview: Moreno Valley vs. Perris

The Moreno Valley Vikings will head out to take on the Perris Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perris took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Moreno Valley, who comes in off a win.

If Perris heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Moreno Valley took over last week. Moreno Valley had just enough and edged Lakeside out 2-1. Samantha Lopez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Perris' offense. They fell 2-0 to Citrus Hill on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Perris' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Moreno Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1.

Moreno Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Perris in their previous meeting on January 9th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moreno Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
