Sierra Vista came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Azusa Aztecs 64-20. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Aztecs are ranked 1133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Priscilla Dealtan, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Dealtan a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Haro, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards.

Sierra Vista pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Azusa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Sierra Vista has already played their next contest (against Nogales), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Azusa will challenge Garey at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
