Basketball Recap: Clairton's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clairton had won four straight games and Iyanna Wade did her part to make it five on Monday. The Clairton Bears blew past the Mapletown Maples 74-24 thanks in part to Wade, who posted 41 points. The contest was her 47th in a row with at least ten points.

Clairton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.2 points. As for Mapletown, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Clairton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-48 win against Monessen on the 6th. As for Mapletown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-20 loss against Bishop Canevin on the 6th.
