Soccer Recap: Channel Islands Takes a Loss

Channel Islands was the 4-1 winner over Carpinteria when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Channel Islands Raiders came up short against the Carpinteria Warriors on Wednesday, falling 5-0. Considering the last time the Raiders couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Channel Islands' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Carpinteria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Channel Islands has already played their next match (against Nordhoff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carpinteria will head out to square off against Santa Paula at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
