Baseball Game Preview: Lowellville Rockets vs. Hubbard Eagles

The Lowellville Rockets will head out to square off against the Hubbard Eagles at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lowellville is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Lowellville came up short against Struthers and fell 7-3.

Lowellville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was A.J. Boehlke, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Brody Daniels, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hubbard got the win against Harding on Thursday by a conclusive 16-8. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Hubbard and bumps their season record up to 14-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Lowellville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Lowellville couldn't quite get it done against Hubbard in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 5-1. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
