Softball Recap: Echols County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brooks County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Echols County). They put the hurt on the Brooks County Trojans with a sharp 18-12 win on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in August.

Echols County got a massive performance out of Makenzye Spivey, who went 3-for-6 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Yasmin Galindo, who went 3-for-6 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Echols County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Echols County's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Brooks County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
