Basketball Game Preview: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Crossroads Roadrunners

The Campbell Hall Vikings will face off against the Crossroads Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Campbell Hall is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Campbell Hall was beaten by Brentwood School 77-48. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Eagles are ranked 17th).

Despite their loss, Campbell Hall saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Charlotte Crosley, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Those nine boards gave Crosley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Romy D'Addario, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Crossroads on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Archer School for Girls out of the water with a 49-18 final score. The Roadrunners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Campbell Hall now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Crossroads, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.

Things could have been worse for Campbell Hall, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-55 loss to Crossroads in their previous meeting on Tuesday.
