Sacramento Country Day took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Patriots on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cavaliers have posted since April 22, 2024.

Sacramento Country Day took John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 13-25, 25-15, 17-15.

Despite the defeat, John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adam Enriques had 22 digs and four assists. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Enriques. Gavin McNett also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Sacramento Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
