After losing to Pikesville the last time they met, Sparrows Point decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pointers walked away with a 22-14 victory over the Panthers on Friday. The Pointers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Sparrows Point got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikey Maynor out in front who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores. Maynor's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 115 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Maceo Hardnett, who rushed for 14 yards and one TD.

Sparrows Point's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Pikesville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sparrows Point will head out to challenge Western Tech & Environmental Science at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pointers will be up against the Wolverines' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pikesville, they are taking a road trip to take on Chesapeake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bay Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
