Softball Recap: Marist Comes Up Short

Walton hit Marist with a five-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The War Eagles fell 13-9 to the Raiders.

Marist's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Marist will head out on the road to take on Pope at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walton, they will take on North Cobb at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
