Lexington lost against Carrollton last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Minutemen fell 14-10 to the Trojans. The Minutemen's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kaylynn Sander and Katy Carter did some serious damage despite the final result: Sander went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Carter went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Carter has snagged this season.
Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Carrollton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
