Preview: Mendez Jaguars vs. Belmont Sentinels
After six games on the road, Mendez is heading back home. They will take on the Belmont Sentinels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mendez comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Mendez beat Roybal 24-17.
Meanwhile, Belmont's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Contreras, falling 54-8.
Mendez's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Belmont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Mendez against Belmont when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-20 win. Does Mendez have another victory up their sleeve, or will Belmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
