Softball Recap: Coretta Scott King YWLA Comes Up Short

After flying high against Salem last Tuesday, Coretta Scott King YWLA came back down to earth. The Soaring Eagle came up short against the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors on Monday, falling 19-4. The contest marked the Soaring Eagle's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Coretta Scott King YWLA saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miracle Lee, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Lee is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Another was Cavonna Foreste, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Coretta Scott King YWLA's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Coming up, Coretta Scott King YWLA will challenge Washington at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they will head out on the road to square off against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
