Football Recap: Bishop Miege Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bishop Miege was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blue Valley North Mustangs. The Stags were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lark Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blue Valley North, rushing for 77 yards and one score on only ten carries, while also throwing for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Anderson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Mustangs' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. A healthy portion of Anderson's aerial production (110 yards to be exact) went to Colton Nichols, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Bishop Miege's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Blue Valley North, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Bishop Miege wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 41-34 victory against Blue Valley on the 24th. As for Blue Valley North, they have also already played their next contest, a 34-6 defeat against Saint Thomas Aquinas on the 24th.
