Soccer Recap: San Diego Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, San Diego was not quite Scripps Ranch's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Scripps Ranch Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Cavers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

San Diego now has a losing record at 6-7-1. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-4 record this season.

San Diego and Scripps Ranch should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. San Diego will take on Clairemont at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th up 479 places (425 vs. 904). Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch (ranked 120th) will meet University City (ranked 547th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
