Basketball Recap: Lanesville's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lanesville had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Salem Lions 59-15. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season.

Lanesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hadley Crosier, who went 8 for 11 en route to 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Crosier has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hylton Brumley, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points.

The win was the eighth in a row for Lanesville, bringing their record for this year to 18-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Salem, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Lanesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-50 victory against Providence on the 7th. Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
