Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hillcrest walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Crawford Colts 56-54. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their 15th in a row.

It was another big night for Zoey Boulware, who went 8-for-15 en route to 23 points. Amaya Branchcomb was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Crawford lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Fatuma Abdi, who posted 22 points. That was a full 40.7% of Crawford's points, marking the seventh time in a row Abdi has put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samitioata Fidow, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Hillcrest pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points on average over those games. As for Crawford, they moved to 19-15 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-33 win against Santa Ana on the 8th. Crawford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
