Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Evergreen Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Christopher Cougars by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Evergreen Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Christopher is ranked 217th).

Evergreen Valley's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Christopher, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season.

Evergreen Valley didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ann Sobrato on the 21st. Christopher has also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Silver Creek on the 21st.
