Basketball Game Preview: Fort Cherry Rangers vs. South Side Rams

The Fort Cherry Rangers will take on the South Side Rams on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fort Cherry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat California 59-29. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Trojans are ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Side waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-16 win over Ellis.

Fort Cherry's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for South Side, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Fort Cherry and South Side were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but Fort Cherry came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss. Can Fort Cherry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
