Football Recap: Larned Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lakin

Larned was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 30-22 to the Lakin Broncs. On the bright side, the 22- point effort marked the Indians' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Defeat or not, Larned got some senior leadership from Mason Miller and David Colglazier. Miller threw for 193 yards and three TDs, while Colglazier gained 135 total yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 50 yards.

Larned's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lakin, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Larned does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakin, they will square off against Beloit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Broncs surely won't give up without a fight.
