Soccer Recap: St. Francis Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Whitney

There's no place like home for St. Francis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Whitney Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Given the Troubadours' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Wildcats are ranked 410th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Francis hit Whitney with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sara Ellis, Marissa Ow, and Miley Blough.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 10-5-4. As for Whitney, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15-1.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Del Oro on the 4th. As for Whitney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Folsom on the 4th.
