Basketball Recap: Willow Spring Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ryder Randolph and Dillon Robinson + How To Watch

Willow Spring entered their game against Panther Creek on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Storm fell 72-60 to the Catamounts.

Dillon Robinson and Ryder Randolph certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Robinson shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points, while Randolph went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points and three steals. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Oriol, who posted seven points and three steals.

Zy'Vaun Puckett was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-14 en route to 22 points along with seven assists and six boards for Panther Creek. Savion Mitchell was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Willow Spring's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Panther Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Willow Spring will head out to take on Cary at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Robinson and Brandon Nixon. As for Panther Creek, they have already played their next matchup, a 67-65 defeat against West Charlotte on the 13th.
