Soccer Game Preview: Hampton vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy

The Hampton Hornets are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Hampton had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Jones County on Friday. Hampton blew past Jones County 7-1. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy came up short against Elite Scholars Academy on Monday and fell 4-2. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Hampton took their victory against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. Will Hampton repeat their success, or does Eagle's Landing Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
