Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial lost a heartbreaker to Freeman when they met back in September of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. The Broncos came up short against the Falcons, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost six in a row.

Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynly Leif, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Freeman, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Coming up, Centennial will face off against York at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Freeman, they will square off against Twin River at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
