Softball Recap: Duchesne/Roncalli Wins Going Away Against Lincoln Northwest

Duchesne/Roncalli saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Lincoln Northwest Falcons 16-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Duchesne/Roncalli.

Myla Downing was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Julia Drickey, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Duchesne/Roncalli always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Northwest only posted an OBP of .357.

Duchesne/Roncalli's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lincoln Northwest, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Duchesne/Roncalli and Lincoln Northwest will both be playing St. Cecilia the next time they take the field. Duchesne/Roncalli will head out to face St. Cecilia at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Lincoln Northwest will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
