Preview: Desert Christian Knights vs. The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins
The Desert Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Desert Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Desert Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Monica Academy by a score of 43-31.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Armstrong, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and five assists. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Dufee, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, The Palmdale Aerospace Academy came up short against Santa Clarita Christian on Thursday and fell 40-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The Palmdale Aerospace Academy has scored all season.
Desert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Desert Christian strolled past The Palmdale Aerospace Academy in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 47-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
