Basketball Recap: Mifflin County Victorious

Mifflin County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Carlisle Thundering Herd. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mifflin County's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Carlisle, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Mifflin County is facing Mifflinburg at the right time seeing as Mifflinburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Carlisle, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Dauphin East at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
