Gage Hedstrom Delivers Best Performance of Season
St. Mary was led to victory by Gage Hedstrom, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Hedstrom rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards.
The victory was the fourth in a row for St. Mary's, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals faces off against Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
