Great Commission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-25 back in December of 2024.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexa Hall, who posted 17 points. Hall continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayelyn Summers, who put up four points.

Calvary Christian Academy was led to victory by Olivia Mills and Eva Penning. Mills dropped a double-double on 15 points and 22 boards, while Penning dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 steals. Penning has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played.

Great Commission's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
