Softball Recap: North Platte Panthers vs. West Platte Bluejays
North Platte extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 6-3. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Platte Bluejays. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Bluejays when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Kate Wolf was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, North Platte saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Crook, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
