Baseball Recap: Scripps Ranch Extends Winning Streak to Three

Scripps Ranch waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Morse Tigers an 11-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 13-8 win on Wednesday.

Scripps Ranch got a great performance from Christian Herrera as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Cooper Sitton was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jesse Dawson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Scripps Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Scripps Ranch's record is now 15-12-1. As for Morse, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 20 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.
