Basketball Game Preview: Central Valley Falcons vs. Lassen Grizzlies

Central Valley hasn't had much luck against Lassen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Central Valley Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Lassen Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Central Valley is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against University Prep, falling 61-27. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1023rd, while the Panthers are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Lassen lost to Yreka on the road by a 71-57 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Miners: they've now lost four in a row.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Lassen, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Central Valley was taken down by Lassen 62-21 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lassen's Nellie Ratcliff, who went 11 of 22 on her way to 25 points along with seven boards and five steals.
